Brooke – I watched “Hunting Hitler” too – just for amusement. These so-called experts claim that Hitler escaped, but they dropped the ball on how they investigated it. Case in point, they found a picture of a Hitler youth in South America but did not follow up on who it was. If this photo was Hitler’s nephew, they would be on to something. Instead, these morons didn’t pursue it. Then they said a long sub ride is even hard on a young man’s body. This statement alone would indicate that Hitler could not have survived it. Hitler was in poor health, he was addicted to drugs, and a couple of his doctors said he had Parkinson’s disease. Also, South America didn’t have the medical advancement Germany did. Hitler knew that. Frankly, these idiots on hunting Hitler are trying to make a name for themselves right along with the famous wannabes. Years ago, England (Trevor Roper) and the US (James P O’Donnell) investigated Hitler’s whereabouts. And they both came to the same conclusion. Hitler committed suicide in his Berlin bunker, right along with his wife Eva. Also, no Jewish organization ever pursued Hitler. Why? Because they knew he is dead. Case closed!

DNA on the teeth will eventually need to be done. But another big issue the sheer lack of photographic evidence. Russian, given it’s victory of Nazi Germany from the eastern front would want to send a message to the world and potential world leaders that it is not to be messed with and the best way of doing that is to bombard the public with photos of a dead Hitler. There are all the incentives in the world to display such photographs and no real counter argument to not do it. The display of a dead Hitler is the greatest trophy of all. It serves so many purposes and propaganda. Yet, according to this articles, the Russians simply disposed of it with no questions asked, furthermore, such expediency of disposing the leader of the Third Reich would not settle well with the western allies of Russia. it would be at least a professional/military courtesy to have Russia allies bear witness to a corpse of that magnitude. Russian had no problem handing over dead or living Nazi’s to the western allies. So why stop with Hitler? Even more so, had Russian soldiers came across Hitler’s body, they would be jubilantly taking some photos of themselves next to Hitler’s dead body. Why not? There would be letters from Russian soldiers to their wives, celebrating and bragging about finding Hitler’s dead body and those same letters would be keepsakes to this day, or documented in a diary. So the lack of this circumstantial and forensic evidence makes such a theory of suicide, suspect at best.

This is a nice piece of well researched argument. My son watched the documentary claiming that Hitler’s suicide was unproven. We did a little research and found this article. Thank you for this work and for debunking an obvious sensationalist and spurious claim.

It seems to me the solution is simple – the skull was tested and a DNA test found it to be of a woman. All you need to is do a DNA test on one of the teeth – and if it has Jewish or Berber Y chromosome – then its probably Hitler!
