Indian business trader shot dead in Nepal

Kathmandu city is completely terrorized with the killing of Anjaani Kumar Chachan, on Sunday at 7:10 PM Nepali standard time here at Teku Ganabahal. Chachan, a 40 year old business trader hails from Rajasthan who was working in Nepal since past two decades through his company A. V. Enterprises. 

He was shot in the arm and stomach by two men unidentified men who came on a motor bike. After the shoot out, he was rushed to Bir Hospital, where the doctors pronounced him dead at around 9:15 P.M Sunday. This is the second incident of shooting in the capital with in such close proximity of the police range as Ganabahal, is located around 300M from Metropolitan Police office.

According to the Police Chachan was involved in import of garments and bags from China where the motive behind the shooting is yet to be established. However, an investigating official linked the case to an unsuccessful bid of criminal elements to extort money from the businessman.

With a deteriorating political situation and police losing its credibility among the general public, the one after another events of killings, bombing, extortion and abduction are certainly creating a terror in people’s mind of being safe and secured.
